This is the age we live in...
Homelessness is a very prevolent problem in our current urban areas. With up to 10,000 people sleeping rough in our main cities every night. Overlooked as mere ornaments of society I tried to document the loss of identity and feeling of helplessness using four stencilled figures, seemingly the same, each with their own uniqueness and imperfections placing them close to us. Also, by using a figure mannequin I set to show how, like drawing mannequins, their is a barrier raised between us and them, restricting any relationship being formed.
Mind Mapping
From my mind map, I drew a very dim view of Urbanism and its effect upon the environment and natural resources on which we rely, also harming the creatures with which we share our world.

Cultural Isolation and Homeless
Following on from the idea of cultural isolation I have decided to study homelessness as they are an overlooked subgroup in our vast and growing society, often treated as inhuman.

Lightbulb
It is my view, as my first idea top explore the cultural isolation we are developing through urbanisation in my project...
Certain ideas have already begun to hit me...
Using A lightbulb which is filled with Argon.. An asphyxiant it is my intention to work in encasing a city in a lightbulb, perhaps a metropolis as it gives a view of a fully developed city, being choked by the smog of the city. Pictures to be uploaded soon, I am also working through photographing boundaries and objects that withhold nature, public intercourse and that raise cultural boundaries, whether they are racial, social or financial.
